Blessed be the Holy and indivisible Trinity that creates theuniverse and governs it and lives glorified forever and ever.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the HolySpirit.

Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

and the love of God,

and the communion of the Holy Spirit

be with you all.

And with your spirit.

Brethren (brothers and sisters), let us acknowledgeour sins,

and so prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacredmysteries.

I confess to almighty God

and to you, my brothers and sisters,

that I have greatly sinned,

in my thoughts and in my words,

in what I have done and in what I have failed to do,

[All strike their breast]

through my fault, through my fault,

through my most grievous fault;

therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin,

all the Angels and Saints,

and you, my brothers and sisters,

to pray for me to the Lord our God.

May almighty God have mercy on us,

forgive us our sins,

and bring us to everlasting life.

Amen.

Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his peopleon earth.

Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father, weworship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory.

FIRST READING

A reading of the book of Genesis (18:1-10a)

In those days, The Lord appeared to Abrahamby the oak of Mamre, as he sat in the entrance of his tent, while the day wasgrowing hot. Looking up, he saw three men standing near him. When he saw them,he ran from the entrance of the tent to greet them; and bowing to the ground,he said: «Sir, if it please you, do not go on past your servant. Let some waterbe brought, that you may bathe your feet, and then rest under the tree. Nowthat you have come to your servant, let me bring you a little food, that youmay refresh yourselves; and afterward you may go on your way.» «Very well,»they replied, «do as you have said.» Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah andsaid, «Quick, three measures of bran flour! Knead it and make bread.» He ran tothe herd, picked out a tender, choice calf, and gave it to a servant, whoquickly prepared it. Then he got some curds and milk, as well as the calf thathad been prepared, and set these before them, waiting on them under the treewhile they ate. «Where is your wife Sarah?» they asked him.
«There in the tent,» he replied. One of them said, «I will return to you aboutthis time next year, and Sarah will then have a son.»

The Word of God.

Thanks be to God.

PSALM

Psalm 104

R. he Lord is faithful to his promises.

Seek out the Lord and his might; constantlyseek his face.

Recall the wondrousdeeds he has done, his wonders and words of judgment,

You descendants ofAbraham his servant, offspring of Jacob the chosen one! R.

He the Lord, is our God

whose judgments reachthrough all the earth. He remembers forever his covenant,

the word he commandedfor a thousand generations, which he made with Abraham,

and swore to Isaac. R.

He brought his peopleout with joy,

his chosen ones withshouts of triumph. He gave them the lands of the nations,

they took possession ofthe wealth of the peoples, that they might keep his statutes

and observe histeachings. R.

EPISTLE

The first letter of saint Paul to theCorinthians (12:2-6)

You know how, when youwere pagans, you were constantly attracted and led away to mute idols. Therefore, I tell you that nobody speaking by the spirit of God says, «Jesus beaccursed.» And no one can say, «Jesus is Lord,» except by the holy Spirit. There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there aredifferent forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings butthe same God who produces all of them in everyone.

The Word of God.

Thanks be to God.

Hallelujah

Glory be to the Father,to the Son, to the Holy Spirit:

glory to God, who is andwho was and who is to come.

Hallelujah

GOSPEL

The Lord be with you

And also with you

A reading of the holygospel according to John (14:21-26)

Glory to you, Lord.

In that time, The Lord Jesus said to hisdisciples: «Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who lovesme. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him andreveal myself to him.» Judas, not the Iscariot, said to him, «Master, [then]what happened that you will reveal yourself to us and not to the world?» Jesusanswered and said to him, «Whoever loves me will keep my word, and my Fatherwill love him, and we will come to him and make our dwelling with him. Whoeverdoes not love me does not keep my words; yet the word you hear is not mine butthat of the Father who sent me. I have told you this while I am with you. TheAdvocate, the holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name – he will teachyou everything and remind you of all that [I] told you.»

The word of the Lord.

Praise to you, LordJesus Christ.

The Lord be with you.

And with your spirit.

Lift up your hearts.

We lift them up to theLord.

Let us give thanks tothe Lord our God.

It is right and just.

It is truly right and just, our duty and oursalvation,

Always here and everywhere to give youthanks,

Lord, holy Father almighty and eternal God:

Who with your only Son and the Holy Spirit

Are one God and one Lord:

Not in the unity of one single person

But in a Threefold yet single being;

And that which by your revelation

We believe as touching your glory,

That too we believe without distinction

Of your Son and of the Holy Spirit.

In professing your true and eternal Godhead

Three distinct persons we adore,

Though one in being and equal in majesty.

Earth and heaven praise you,

Angels and archangels worship you

And all the saints acclaim you, saying:

Holy, holy, holy, LordGod of hosts.

Heaven and earth arefull of your glory.

Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is he who comesin the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest.

You are indeed Holy, OLord,

The fount of allholiness.

Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,

by sending down yourSpirit upon them like the dewfall,

so that they may becomefor us

the Body and Blood ofour Lord Jesus Christ.

At the time he wasbetrayed

And entered willinglyinto his Passion,

he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it,

and gave it to hisdisciples, saying:

Takethis, all of you, and eat of it,

Forthis is my Body,

Whichwill be given up for you.

In a similar way, whensupper was ended,

he took the chalice

and, once more givingthanks,

he gave it to hisdisciples, saying:

Takethis, all of you, and drink from it,

forthis is the chalice of my Blood,

theBlood of the new and eternal covenant,

Whichwill be poured out for you and for many

forthe forgiveness of sins.

Dothis in memory of me.

The mystery of faith.

We proclaim your Death,O Lord,

and profess yourResurrection

until you come again.

Therefore, as wecelebrate

the memorial of hisDeath and Resurrection,

we offer you, Lord,

the Bread of life andthe Chalice of salvation,

giving thanks that youhave held us worthy

to be in your presenceand minister to you.

Humbly we pray

that, partaking of theBody and Blood of Christ,

we may be gathered intoone by the Holy Spirit.

Remember, Lord, yourChurch,

spread throughout theworld,

and bring her to thefullness of charity,

together with Francisour Pope

and Mario our Bishop,

and all the clergy.

Remember also our brothersand sisters

who have fallen asleepin the hope of the resurrection,

and all who have died inyour mercy:

welcome them into thelight of your face.

Have mercy on us all, wepray,

that with the BlessedVirgin Mary, Mother of God,

with blessed Joseph, herSpouse

with the blessedApostles,

and all the Saints whohave pleased you throughout the ages,

we may merit to becoheirs to eternal life,

and may praise andglorify you

through your Son, JesusChrist.

Through him, and with him,and in him,

O God, almighty Father,

In the unity of the HolySpirit,
